Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Our Gingerbread House

I just wanted to post a quick note to say Happy Holiday's to everyone. We are getting ready to head out to do some major grocery shopping and then back home to clean, bake, wrap and all that fun stuff. My mom and dad are coming into town tomorrow night so I'm excited. Our house is pretty much decorated and the Christmas music is playing. We opted not to decorate outside this year except we do have a pretty wreath on the front door.

I had Kev take a picture of the Christmas tree but I totally forgot to put the skirt around so it looks silly. We put together the Gingerbread house you see above and had a blast doing that. We will celebrate our 11th anniversary on New Year's Eve. Looking forward to a fun night out to Beni Hana's Japanese Steakhouse. Fun!

Blog Trip Day 5: Explore the City

Here we are on the last day of the blog trip. It has been fun getting to know so many of you. Today we are exploring our city. My favorite thing to do, that we do about once a year and I hope to change that is spend the day at Six Flags Great America . I love all the rides and could go on them over and over. Hubby and my stepson are not so much into the spin type rides so I have to ride those alone. Oh well! We went there a few weeks ago and I had a blast. This morning I found a link to a contest over at Money Blogger to win an ipod Nano . I will normally only enter contests that I have to blog about if I like what they have to offer on their blog. And this blog, I do like so far and even signed up for their feed. I found a very helpful post on how to get ideas for new blog posts already so I look forward to digging in a bit more. Welcome Mommy Fest Blog Party People
